The Ramadan broadcast was co-hosted by Waseem Badami and Junaid Jamshed. After the broadcast started, Junaid Jamshed was died in an airplane accident. Remembering him Badami started to cry.
Junaid Jamshed invited Waseem Badami to co-host the Ramadan transmission with him. As a consequence of their hosting team’s success, fans started to appreciate Shaan E Ramazan. After an aircraft crash in December 2016, Junaid Jamshed along with several other passengers perished. The Shaan E Ramadan broadcast is then led by Waseem Badami as he always does, but this year, he was visibly moved as he got started. Waseem Badami kicked off the first program of the Shaan E Ramazan live transmission 2023 today.
Waseem Badami said that especially at the beginning of each Ramadan, when Waseem Badami recalls the enthusiasm he had with him [Junaid Jamshed] while working on the program, he added that how can you people forget that every part of this set makes us think of Junaid Jamshed? We all are emotionally attached to this set.
He continued “We used to laugh and converse together while also discussing transmission problems even before the month of Ramadan. As I feel that everything would be entirely different if he were here, I am obviously feeling quite melancholy as I begin this, but I have trust that he is in a lovely place because we all distinctly recall that time. I want to ask everyone to pray for Junaid Jamshed and to remember Amjad Sabri during Shaan E Ramadan.”
