Government decided to charge those who spreads litter, as according to the notification the person who spreads litter will be fined one thousand rupees.
This notification has been issued by the municipal department, according to which a fine of one thousand rupees will be imposed on those who throw garbage on the streets.
As earlier Lahore and other cities are considered dirtiest cities of Pakistan because of these garbage’s and wastes in streets and road, now municipal department start a mission to stop this by charging those who throw garbage on the streets.
According to this notification at first they will fine one thousand rupees in second time with one thousand rupees a warning will be given, and if it is not heeded, then the person will be sent to jail directly.
If a person did not follow the rules and had reported more than two times in the duration of three months, then he will not only charge but will send to jail, this is because they want to stop land pollution which is major issue of main cities of Pakistan.
If you don’t take this seriously, know that many people have been fined in Lahore city, according to report of waste management they have charged more than 140 people for that in March they investigate more than 10 thousand places of city to create a full report and then they started to fine each individual who is not serious about his land.
Lahore waste management company (LWMC) provide a report about those who put their garbage in streets and did not follow rules among them 143 people were fined and 16 illegal dumping vehicles were found in city and then were taken into custody.
If you are thinking about to put the garbage on fire then you are wrong according to the notification you cannot set the garbage on fire or else you will be fined, so you have to put the waste in the dustbin and take special care of cleanliness.
Otherwise, the first time you will be fine of Rs 1,000, the second time then will warn you along with the fine, and then three years imprisonment. So you need to follow the rules and keep your city neat and clean.
Lahore tops the list of dirty cities because of the citizen who put garbage in streets, road and other places. This will cause harm to the land, animals and human being.
This time anyone who does not take care of cleanliness will be fined RS 1000 rupees and this method will play its role in making the city clean.
