After helming nine independent films over the previous three decades, the veteran director announced in a new interview with CNN’s Chris Wallace that his upcoming project would be his last.
“I’ve been doing it for 30 years, so I’ve done it for a very long period. And now it’s time to end the programme “Tarantino, 59, added. “I work as a performer. I want to pique your curiosity.”
Reservoir Dogs, released in 1992, served as Tarantino’s debut feature film directing effort. His most recent project, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, was released in 2019. He has received two Academy Awards for screenwriting, for the movies Django Unchained (2012) and Pulp Fiction (both of which he also directed) from 1994.
Jackie Brown (1997), Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003), Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004), Inglourious Basterds (2009), and The Hateful Eight are the other single films he has directed (2015).
