On Tuesday, four female students at a private school in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) were suspended for torturing a classmate.
A classmate at a Lahore school was allegedly abused by these four suspects last week. Afterwards, they were granted pre-arrest bail on condition of submitting surety bonds of Rs50,000 each.
Also, until January 30, the police are not allowed to arrest them.
School administration has suspended the girls pending the outcome of the investigation.
The administration created a three-person investigating committee to investigate the incident.
A 10-day deadline has been set for the investigative committee to complete the probe and deliver the report.
In response to the committee’s inquiry, the administration promised to take “action against individuals involved as a result of its inquiry.”
