Peshawar Blast Leaves No Casualties; No Injuries Reported

Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police reported an explosion on Sunday near a police vehicle under Badaber Police Station. The police have not reported any casualties. Nasir Khan, in charge of the Sheikhan outpost, was reportedly on patrol when an IED exploded nearby. A paint can was filled with explosives that remotely detonated, the police said.

Immediately following the incident, the police gathered evidence at the crime scene. As part of the investigation, a bomb disposal unit was called to the scene.

According to the bomb disposal unit, the explosion damaged the vehicle with approximately one kilogram of explosives.

A total of 310 terrorist attacks occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last year, formerly in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata). CRSS reported that over 62% of attacks targeted KP in its annual report.
