In Pakistan, the price of a tola of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1850 to reach Rs158,850, closing in on the record high of Rs162,000 a tola set in July of this year.

The cost of 10 grammes of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs. 1586 to Rs. 136,188. The price of a 10-gram piece of 22-karat gold is Rs. 124839.

One ounce of gold now costs $1782 on the world market, a rise of $7.

The price of 24-Karat silver in the country also increased by Rs10 per tola and was available for Rs1690 while the price of 10 grams of 24-Karat was increased by Rs8.60 to reach Rs1448.92.
