Maryam Challenged Imran to Launch ‘Jail Bharo Tehreek’ From Zaman Park

Imran Khan has been challenged by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) Vice President Maryam Nawaz to launch “jail bharo tehreek” from his residence at Zaman Park.

Senior Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN), Maryam Nawaz, has challenged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to launch ‘jail bharo tehreek’ from his residence at Zaman Park. In a media statement made in Multan, Maryam stated that the government was eagerly awaiting Khan’s promised movement, but suggested that he should first remove the protective shield he has been using for safety.

In response to the PMLN-led government’s refusal to hold elections in Punjab and KP, and their alleged political victimization, Imran Khan announced the movement last week. According to Maryam, the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif left the national economy in strong shape in 2018, but that the economy plummeted under the PTI government led by Imran Khan.

Despite Maryam’s desire to provide relief to citizens, the coalition government at the center is unable to do so due to the agreement signed by the PTI government with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). As a prime minister of the PMLN, the PMLN leader alleged that the government of the PTI had inherited a high economic growth rate of 5.8%, but that the government has dramatically slowed the pace of development in the country.

According to her, PM Shehbaz Sharif has been working tirelessly to control inflation and revive the economy, which was the result of the PTI government’s incorrect policies.Additionally, Maryam stated that it would take time for the problems that the country has encountered during the four years of the PTI’s “misrule” to be resolved.

According to her, the IMF program finalized by Nawaz Sharif in 2016 did not burden the people, whereas the one signed by Imran Khan’s government worsened the economic conditions and triggered the worst-ever inflation.

It was stated by Maryam that the PMLN government had maintained stable prices for essential commodities, such as flour, sugar, and edible oil, whereas the IMF agreement signed by the PTI regime did not only cause inflation and an economic downturn, but also worsened the situation as a result of its violation.

As a final point, Maryam expressed her commitment to the creation of the South Punjab province and confirmed that the PMLN is fully prepared to contest in the upcoming general election. In addition, she stated that the PMLN would fulfill its commitment to the people of the region in accordance with their wishes.
