Even before the arrival of OTT, Manoj Bajpayee claimed he had begun to lose faith in independent film because of Gali Guleiyan’s terrible performance.
In a recent interview with Times of Bombay, Manoj Bajpayee discussed the failure of Gali Guleiyan and declared his disinterest in producing movies with a niche market.
He stated in a recent interview that he started losing hope in independent film and his [Manoj Bajpaye] entire decision to attend and support them since the public was not showing interest in going to the movie hall and viewing them, a few years back.
In his own words, he admitted that he had occasionally second-guessed his decision to support independent movies. For him, it is crucial that people watch it, and if they aren’t, he will not be ready to produce movies for the four to five individuals who will do so. And OTT wasn’t present at that time. That made him sad, but not in a heartbreaking way.
