Govt. Approves A 30% Cut In Medicine Prices

According to a spokesperson for the health ministry, most medication costs have decreased by 30%. A plan to fix the costs of 54 other medications has also received approval from the cabinet.

It chose a federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad that was presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The health minister stated that the government was committed to giving relief to the people after the cabinet was informed that the PTI increased drug prices by up to 700% when it was in power. So that the cabinet also accepted the 54 new pharmaceuticals' price determination. He says treating cancer and other chronic diseases is tied to these medications.
