Nawaz Sharif, former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo, wants a full court to hear a PTI appeal against Punjab election delays.
Sharif called the scenario a “terrible joke” on Pakistanis at a London press conference. He asked the nation to wake up.
Sharif also said that disqualifying him as prime minister endangered the country’s future.
Pakistan’s debt and foreign aid dependency saddened him. Sharif demanded answers from those who disqualified him, saying it was for one person.
Sharif also slammed the government’s missteps that wrecked the economy. He stressed that the destitute must sell their possessions to pay for treatment.
“Pakistan’s economic woes have driven it to seek financial aid from friendly countries, yet others have criticised such decisions as being made for one man.”
He said the country has left the IMF and the people were rich in 2017.
He stated we are now appealing for one billion bucks.
Due to rising gold costs in Pakistan, a poor dad was unable to marry his daughter.
He said that retired judge Shaukat Siddiqui’s revelations have gone unnoticed.
“General Bajwa’s statements have become more self-evident.”
Sharif asked why Siddiqui’s revelations haven’t received more attention. He criticised the former army chief’s views being ignored.
Sharif said he would explain his disqualification as prime minister, including with retired judges like Saqib Nisar.
The ex-prime minister also expressed his dissatisfaction with Pakistan’s economy, saying that a few years ago, the nation was on course to join the world’s top-developed nations.
Today, the government needs financial aid from friendly nations, including a billion dollars.
