The temperature reportedly rose to 32.5°C on Monday. 15.5°C was the lowest temperature recorded.
It is important to note that Karachi’s typical February temperature is 28.7°C, which means the city has already experienced four degrees over that month’s average.
Dr. Sardar Sarfaraz, Chief Meteorologist of Pakistan Meteorologist Department (PMD) Karachi, commented on this topic by stating that the key cause of the temperature increase is the switch from north-northeasterly to south-southeasterly winds.
He asserted that Sindh’s days have grown hotter since the desert wind now blows during the day. However, the sea wind will start to blow today, causing the temperature in Karachi to drop.
Recall that this year’s winter in Karachi saw temperatures that broke records. It wasn’t enough, though, to top the city’s all-time low temperature record. In Karachi, 0°C was the lowest temperature ever recorded in 1934.
