The Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q)’s Chief Organiser and Punjab President, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, declared on Wednesday that his party will not form alliances with any other political parties and will take part in the upcoming elections on an independent basis.
At the Pakistan Muslim League House in Sialkot, during Advocate Dr. Shakil Akhtar’s induction into the PML-Q, Sarwar declared to the media that his party would not form an alliance with any other political groups during the elections.
The PML-Q’s chief organizer, Sarwar, declared that the party is prepared to run independently in the general elections and has not yet formed any alliances with other parties. He declared that he was confident they would win more seats than in the previous elections.
He also believed that by winning more seats in the upcoming elections, the party would triumph with a landslide.
Sarwar made a comment about the current situation, attributing poor governance and corruption as the main reasons for the country’s declining economy and growing debts. He emphasized that these problems are the biggest roadblocks to the nation’s development.
Currently, the Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDA), which is the country’s ruling coalition, includes Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s PML-Q. The coalition parties have not yet decided if they will run in the upcoming election jointly or separately.
The PDA was founded to oppose the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and in April 2022 it was successful in toppling the Imran Khan administration. Since that time, the coalition government has been led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
