The interior minister tweeted to confirm the arrest of suspects in the terror assault as suicide bombs prompted numerous nations to issue advisories for their residents.
Sanaullah insisted that the cab driver was blameless and played no part in the fatal assault. He stated that the terrorists lived in the garrison city of Rawalpindi and hired him from Kurram Agency.
He added that the most recent activity resulted in the roundup of four to five people.
The minister said this following the comments of DIG Islamabad Sohail Chatta, who also stated that there was a bomber and a driver in the car.
The capital’s officials have released a specific security strategy in the wake of the explosion to stop any other terrorist attacks. Under the new “special” plan, at least 25 temporary checkpoints have been established.
Cops also revealed that all passengers riding Islamabad’s metro bus will be tracked by video records, and that Red Zone gates will be monitored by security cameras.
