On Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke by phone with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey, about bilateral relations and regional developments.
The PM House stated in a news release that the Prime Minister spoke with the Turkish Premier over the phone. Shehbaz extended an invitation to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to attend the international conference that the UN and Geneva would be hosting on January 9.
The prime minister emphasised throughout the call the enormous task facing South Asia in terms of recovery and reconstruction following significant flooding.
In addition, the statement stated that Islamabad and Ankara had discussions about a range of bilateral and global problems and have decided to keep in touch.He also thanked the friendly nation for providing prompt humanitarian aid on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan.
