Car makers have reduced production as a result of Pakistan’s persistent economic difficulties. Market sources imply that automakers may have also fired a sizable number of staff as a result of a weakened operating capacity, despite the absence of any public updates.
This swirl of rumours had also ensnared Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC). To set the record straight, the company has released a statement stating that despite the current economic climate, it will not be firing any of its staff members.
In a recent statement, Toyota IMC stated that due to the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) limitation on vehicle imports, it will cease production and assembly operations from December 20–30, 2022.
The business claimed that the restriction has made importing knockdown difficult.
