The government will hire private security guards to protect Chinese nationals in Pakistan

To protect Chinese nationals who are living in the country, the Punjabi government is thinking about hiring the services of top-tier security companies.

The authorities have determined, in accordance with reliable sources, that enlisting the assistance of private security firms is a vital measure to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in Pakistan.

Nine Chinese nationals who were employed on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects in Pakistan perished in a suicide bombing that struck a bus carrying them to a dam construction site in July of the previous year.

Four Pakistani people, including two Pakistani Army troops, joined the Chinese nationals in embracing martyrdom during the bombing. After the explosion, the Chinese government expressed grave worries about the safety of its citizens.

Both nations strengthened the security of Chinese employees during Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif’s first official visit to China in November of last year.

Chinese people will be transported in bulletproof vehicles, Pakistan and China decided at the Joint Cooperation Committee’s (JCC) 11th meeting.
