In Karachi, the presence of the sub-variant BF-7 of COVID-19 was confirmed

A highly contagious Coronavirus subvariant, BF-7, has been detected in Karachi by the Sindh Health Department. There is a new sub-variant of the Omicron variant that has been identified for the first time in Pakistan, which was first identified in China.

It has previously been reported that six cases of the new variant have been detected in Karachi by the Sindh Health Department. According to health experts, people should seek medical attention in the event of illness and avoid public places and wear masks when ill.

The Sindh Corona Taskforce member Dr. Faisal Mahmood confirmed the detection of the new variant and stressed the importance of wearing masks and avoiding public gatherings. Despite the low number of patients who are affected by the new variant, Dr. Mahmood stressed the importance of caution and vigilance in order to prevent its spread.
