Sindh Rangers beat up a man on a Karachi road after hitting his motorcycle

A young person was seen being beaten up by Sindh Rangers soldiers in broad daylight on a busy thoroughfare in the capital city of Sindh

A Rangers vehicle is seen speeding through an intersection during the incident on CCTV when a silver car does a U-turn. The biker gets struck by the Rangers’ vehicle as the driver leans slightly to the left, causing him to fall to the ground.

Three staff members approach the citizen without even checking on him to begin beating him up while the victim appears shocked by the unexpected assault.

Social media users expressed outrage over the footage, saying it was not the proper way to treat the public. Some recalled the 2011 incident in which a resident named Sarfraz Shah was fatally shot by Rangers officers.

PTI leader Shahbaz Gill stated in a tweet that initial reports indicated the Rangers were pursuing a snatcher. He did, however, criticise the security guard’s treatment of the individual, saying: “It would have been better to take action against him in accordance with the law instead of hitting him in public.”

The victim, according to sources in the local media, was a “drug peddler” who was apprehended by Rangers officers following a chase.
