Shopkeepers Violating the 10 PM Market Closure Orders Will Pay Heavy Fines, Per LHC

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has mandated that businesses open after 10 p.m. must pay fines of Rs. 200,000

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has mandated that businesses open after 10 p.m. must pay fines of Rs. 200,000 and that enforcement against unauthorised parking be ensured.

Muhammad Imran Saleem, the secretary general of the Lahore Supermarkets Association, supported the 10 PM market closing hour and asked for it to be made permanent at the hearing of a case involving the avoidance of smog.

The court agreed that a change in lifestyle is required for better health and that markets should close at 10 PM to promote peace in society.

The court addressed the problem of one dish at weddings as well, and it ordered the CCPO Lahore and other officials to swiftly carry out the instructions.

The petitioner, Azhar Siddique Advocate, brought up the usage of carbon in industries in the Mahmood Boti neighbourhood of Lahore, and the court ordered action to be made against unlawful parking in the city. An implementation report was then required to be given at the next hearing.
