Sheikh Rashid is the subject of yet another case in Murree

Sheikh Rashid, a former interior minister, had yet another charge filed against him at a Muree police station for meddling with government business.

Imran Khan’s supporter and leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML), who was detained early on Thursday from the Murree Motorway.

Investigation Officer Ashiq Ali of the Aabpara Police Station in Islamabad filed the FIR after receiving a complaint from the complainant. Sheikh Rashid is charged with intimidating police officers.

Sheikh Rashid was accused of interfering with official business and putting up a fight during his detention in the FIR, which was filed in accordance with Section 154 of the Pakistani Criminal Procedure Code. According to the FIR, the former minister physically shoved, verbally abused, and threatened the police officers with dire repercussions while holding a gun to their heads.

According to the FIR, Sheikh Rashid abused the police officers and threatened to kill them, claiming he had served as a minister on numerous occasions. Therefore, he violated Sections 506ii (threaten to cause death or great bodily harm), 353 (use of force or violence to prevent a public official from doing his duties), and 186 (obstruct a public servant from performing his duties).
