PM Shehbaz hopes to sign an agreement with the IMF this month

The government will sign a contract with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) this month, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The PML-N President announced during the Green Line Train service’s inaugural ceremony at the Margalla Train Station that the government will soon achieve a deal with the IMF this month and that the nation would emerge from these troubles.

The PM stated that the government has compiled a list of goods that must be imported based on their requirement in light of the catastrophic position of the foreign exchange reserves. Food and medical supplies are on the list, he continued.

When speaking about the Green Line railway, the prime minister said that his brother Nawaz Sharif presided over the foundation-laying ceremony, but that “this one also failed to take life” like other projects.

According to PM Shehbaz, Khawaja Saad Rafique, minister of railways, put a lot of effort on enhancing the division.

The prime minister expressed his wish that ML-1 would not be the target of “unnecessary accusations,” noting that unjustified allegations of corruption were levelled against Chinese businesses, harming relations with Beijing.
