Nepra Reduces The Cost Of Electricity For K-electric Customers By Rs7.43/unit

On Wednesday, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) reduced the cost of electricity for Karachi, the nation's financial centre, residents by Rs7.43 per unit.

In a notice, the authority stated that K-Electric had requested a reduction in the price of power of Rs7.04 per unit due to the adjustment of fuel costs.

Additionally, it stated that all K-Electric customers—aside from lifeline customers, household customers who use up to 300 units, agricultural customers, and customers of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS)—would be eligible for the discounted price.

Previously, the FCA for November was reduced by Rs4.98 a unit compared to the price charged in October.
