Naqeebullah Mehsud’s Murder: All Accused, Including Rao Anwar, On Monday, an anti-terrorism court in Karachi acquitted all the accused, including former senior superintendent of police Rao Anwar, five years after Naqeebullah Mehsud was murdered.
According to the judge, the defendant failed to prove his case against the prosecution.
After acquitting him, Rao Anwar told the media that he had been accused of a bogus crime, but God and the judge had disproved the false accusations.
Anwar said that he would provide a detailed response to the media later.
According to him, 25 people were wrongfully implicated in the case since the deceased was Naseemullah, not Naqeebullah, a wanted terrorist.
Newspapers published advertisements for him as a wanted militant.
Upon being asked whether he would like to rejoin the police force, the former official stated that he still had one year of service remaining.
Anwar asserted, “I freed Karachi from many cruel people.”
