FBR Member Customs (Operations), Mukarram Jan Ansari, stated that the mobile app “Pass Track” has been changed to assist travellers during the app’s debut event, which was conducted at the FBR House.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has updated the cash carrying limitations for outbound travellers, he said. The updated cash-carrying limits have been informed by FBR by SRO 2201(I)/2022, dated 12-12-2022. Additionally, the SBP has mandated that anyone in possession of foreign cash submit a declaration to Customs.
Pakistan Customs has collaborated with the National Information Technology Board (NITB) to create a web-based mobile app that allows travellers travelling internationally to electronically register their declarations.
Ansari claimed that the software will make it easier for travellers to disclose their money before even arriving at the airport for flights to or from Pakistan. The app has undergone thorough testing, and numerous new features have been included to make it simple for users to enter all the necessary data.
You may get the app from the Play Store and the App Store. The App also has a web version that is accessible. Additionally, it is reachable from everywhere in the world. The App makes it simpler for travellers to submit declarations by giving them step-by-step instructions.
He claimed that anyone may download the app and register using their mobile number, and that the declaration form is available in both Urdu and English. Once the traveller has entered personal information, the system will pre-fill the form upon logging in on subsequent visits.
The app will display earlier declarations made during the current year, and departure and arrival monitoring officers will immediately have access to the available annual limit data in the Customs system. The software also offers a feedback system to address any errors or corrections.
