Following the last news concerning the arrest of the senior leader of the PTI, Mr Fawad Chaudhary, the Lahore High Court has now denied the bail application of the PTI leader. According to justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, it was a case of wrongful imprisonment before, but we did not say it was “illegal” after the court received the FIR.
The public prosecutor said that an FIR has been registered against Fawad Chaudhry, how can they prove that it is illegal detention. The court said that what is illegal in the arrest of Fawad Chaudhry, if you want the case to be thrown out, Islamabad High Court is the forum.
The Lahore High Court has rejected Fawad Chaudhry's recovery petition.
Earlier today, the High Court heard a petition against keeping Fawad Chaudhary in habeas corpus. Fawad Chaudhry must appear at half past one, according to the court's order.
