A Security Officer In Karachi’s Clifton Fatally Shot A Young Child Selling Toys

The police say that on Sunday, a private security officer allegedly shot and killed an eight-year-old child who was peddling toys in Karachi’s Clifton neighbourhood.

Mohammed Umer was allegedly slain at the Bilawal House roundabout by security guard Jan Mohammed in “accidental [gun]fire,” according to Boat Basin police Station House Officer (SHO) Naseer Tanoli.

He said, “He was selling toys around here.

The guard transported the wounded youngster to the adjacent Dr. Ziauddin Hospital on a motorcycle right away after the incident, but the eight-year-old passed away from his wounds before getting there, according to Tanoli.

The guard then ran away from the scene, leaving the body close to the railroad track, according to Tanoli.

He further stated that Mohammed has been charged with murder following a father of the victim’s complaint to the police. The deceased was taken to the Civil Hospital in Karachi.

The complainant, Khadim Hussain, claimed in the first information report (FIR) that he was originally from Rohri, Sukkur, and that he operated a rickshaw to make a living. His older son called him while he was in Defense to tell him that Mohammed Umer had allegedly been shot by a restaurant security.

Hussain claimed that he and his wife and older son hurried to the scene but that Umer’s whereabouts were unknown. The family was taken to the Jackson police station, where the child’s body was lying in an ambulance, by two diners.

According to the spokeswoman, Karachi Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab was aware of the murder and requested a police report. He gave the cops the order to detain the suspects right away.

Wahab told the heirs that justice would be served. The administrator promised the grieving family, “No one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands.”
