Karachi, Pakistan – The provincial police chief, Ghulam Nabi Memon, has launched a new initiative to upgrade the police department’s vehicles with high-tech equipment. The smart cars, equipped with cutting-edge technology, will be deployed on Shahrah-e-Faisal.
In addition to high-definition cameras, the vehicles are equipped with a Talaash software application that includes a digital communication system and internet connectivity. In the event of an emergency, officers will be able to respond promptly.
Additionally, the vehicles are equipped with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), facial recognition technology, and advanced surveillance cameras. As part of the chief’s efforts to modernize the department, these multifunctional vehicles have been introduced.
The IGP Memon commended DIG South for introducing smart cars and instructed the Shaheen Force to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).
As part of the police department’s initiative to enhance its capabilities and efficiency, the launch of these innovative vehicles marks a significant step forward. It is anticipated that the high-tech cars will improve the overall security situation in the region.
