The Lahore High Court of Pakistan orders a person who makes a formal application to the court for action that they require all records of the Toshakhana.
According to the record, The name of those who received the gifts will be made public, however, the name of those who gave gifts will not made public. It is because they have to maintain foreign relations and it is indeed a shameful act to use Toshakhana gifts for personal.
Justice Bilal said while completing Justice Qureshi’s speech about Toshakhna that, It is important to mention that we have received a gift otherwise it should consider illegal.
As earlier Justice Asim Hafeez had clearly ordered about submission of reports from 1990 to 2001 regards Toshakhana, however, this decision was declined by the federal government.
The plea is heard by two members of the bench, Justice Raza Qurashi and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan.
The order is issued to all parties for 17th April, so they have only one week to submit all details.
According to Mirza Nasr, it is not important to declare the names of the gift giver as it will affect our relationship with foreign countries.
Justice Asim added that nothing can be hidden and no one is allowed to keep gifts without payment.
Remember on 12th March the gifts of Toshakhana were publicized with an order of the High Court, now the same thing is going to happen.
