Hassaan Niazi is an adviser on legal affairs to Imran Khan and a nephew of the PTI chairman. He was taken into custody after clashes between police and PTI workers at the judicial complex.
Naeem Haider Panjotha said that the authorities ignored their claim that Hassan was on bail. Following his arrest, PTI leader Farrukh Habib called it”abduction” and demanded the superior judiciary to take notice. Supporters also shared a video through their Twitter account protesting against this incident.
They asked lawyers across the country to come out in protest and block roads as a sign of solidarity with Hassan Niazi.

According to police officials, Hassan Khan Niazi was arrested from outside the judicial complex for resisting the police gate.
