Neymar, a star player for Paris Saint-Germain and a Brazilian footballer, had an ankle injury and will have surgery on it in Qatar under the supervision of a renowned British surgeon, according to the reports.
James Calder will be in charge of the surgery at the sports medicine clinic, the hospital has confirmed.
The procedure will be carried out by Professor Pieter D’Hooghe, an expert ankle surgeon at Aspetar, and Professor James Calder, a famous ankle surgeon from London, according to a statement from the clinic.
The 31-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward had prior treatment at Aspetar in January 2019 with Calder’s assistance.
