Imran Khan Declines To Speak With Former Opposition MPAs

Imran Khan the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) declined on Sunday to speak with the party’s defection-prone former members of the Punjab Assembly

In the Punjabi constituencies of the defecting legislators, PTI workers are revolting. Former MPAs went to the party leader to make their case, but he declined to meet with them.

Additionally, PTI MPAs Faisal Cheema, Momina Waheed, and Khurram Leghari were not present for Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi’s vote of confidence in the Punjab Assembly.

The party served show-cause notices on the members, and the PTI leader ordered them to appear before Asad Umar, the party’s secretary general, and provide an explanation.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) deseated 25 PTI MPAs in 2022 for disobeying party orders and supporting Hamza Shehbaz for the position of Punjab Chief Minister.
