The first price increase occurred on January 31, 2023, and now, without giving any clear explanation, the company has announced a second price hike, adding further to the burden of the average consumer.
The new rates for the Honda range of bikes are as follows:
- Honda CD70 – The price of this bike has increased by Rs. 9,000 and will now cost Rs. 137,900 compared to the previous price of Rs. 128,900.
- Honda CD70 Dream – The price of this bike has increased by Rs. 9,600, and it will now cost Rs. 147,500 as opposed to Rs. 137,900 as before.
- Honda Pridor – The new price for this bike is Rs. 181,500, which is an increase of Rs. 10,600 over the previous price of Rs. 170,900.
- Honda CG 125 – The price of this popular bike has increased by Rs. 11,000 and will now cost Rs. 205,900 compared to the previous price of Rs. 194,900.
- Honda CG 125 SE – This bike has seen an increase of Rs. 13,000 and will now cost Rs. 243,900 instead of the old rate of Rs. 230,900.
- Honda CB 125F – The new rate for this bike is Rs. 330,900, which is an increase of Rs. 25,000 compared to the previous price of Rs. 305,900.
- Honda CB 150F – The price of this bike has seen an increase of Rs. 35,000, taking the new rate to Rs. 418,900 from the previous rate of Rs. 383,900.
- Honda CB 150F SE – This bike has also seen an increase of Rs. 35,000, taking the new rate to Rs. 422,900 compared to the old rate of Rs. 387,900.
Despite building its motorcycles locally, Atlas Honda keeps raising prices whenever foreign exchange rates change. Due to this, bikes that were once thought to be accessible to the general public are now out of reach.
The already struggling masses, who also bear the brunt of rising car prices, have been hard-hit by this second price increase. The government must pay attention to this problem and take action to help the average person, who is already dealing with rising inflation and other economic difficulties.
