The body of General Musharraf is to be Transported to Pakistan Today

A spokesperson for the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, has stated that the government is facilitating the transportation of General Musharraf’s remains and that their missions in the UAE are in contact with his family.

After suffering from a prolonged illness, former Pakistani President and retired general Pervez Musharraf passed away in Dubai at the age of 79 As a result of the news of his death, politicians and military leaders have expressed their condolences.

General Musharraf’s remains will be repatriated today by his wife Sehba, son Bilal, and daughter Ayla on a special flight scheduled to arrive at 11:30 am local time. In the country, the remains have been kept in the mortuary of a local hospital, and the doctors have advised that they be buried as soon as possible.

As confirmed by his family sources, the former President will be buried in a Karachi graveyard. In spite of the cancellation of his passport, the special plane carrying his body will land in Rawalpindi. As a result of a request from Musharraf’s family, the Pakistani consulate in Dubai issued a no objection certificate for the repatriation of his body.

In addition to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad and the tri-services chiefs expressed their deep condolences for the loss of the former president.

In response to the news of General Musharraf’s death, various quarters have expressed their condolences, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the chief of the army staff. According to the military’s public relations department, “May Allah bless the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family.”

General Pervez Musharraf’s passing marks the end of a remarkable chapter in Pakistani history, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and followed his career.
