Pakistan has seen an increase in Covid-19 infections, dramatically increasing the infectivity rate

Following the country’s registration of 33 additional coronavirus cases without a fatality during the previous day (Wednesday), Pakistan has seen an increase in Covid-19 infections, dramatically increasing the infectivity rate, according to data released by the National Institute of Health (NIH) on Thursday morning.

The number of fatalities in the nation stayed constant at 30,638 according to NIH data, but following the addition of the additional 33 cases, the overall number of illnesses increased to 1,575,887.

3,942 tests were performed across Pakistan over the past 24 hours (Wednesday), with a positivity rate of 0.84 percent. There are now 19 individuals in critical condition.

On the other hand, random Covid-19 testing would be conducted on foreign travellers entering at Pakistani airports.
