Imad Wasim, the captain of the Karachi Kings, thanked the team’s devoted supporters for their support during the current season eight of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Imad noted that despite playing well, the squad had negative results in their games and that they missed the playoffs as a result of losing some close games.
“Despite your unwavering support, the outcomes were regrettably not in our favour. We excelled at cricket. We would have qualified for the playoffs if we had won three to four close games “In a video posted by Karachi Kings, he remarked.
“We are also depressed, as are all the fans, I know. Next year, we’ll plan better and return with a bang “Added Imad.
The 34-year-old has reassured the dejected fans that the team is committed to mounting a greater comeback in the following campaign.
The Kings finished the season with just three victories in 10 games, although they were able to put a win over their bitter rivals Lahore Qalandars on their home pitch.
One of the highlights of the event was Imad’s individual performance, as he scored 404 runs in ten matches and claimed nine wickets.
He was selected for the national T20I team for the upcoming series against Afghanistan in March thanks to his great all-around performance.
