The federal government has swiftly removed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary, Shahzad Khan Bangash, following the tragic bombing at a mosque in the Police Lines area of Peshawar. The position of Chief Secretary has been filled by Imdadullah Bosal

.According to the official notification, Shahzad Khan Bangash has been directed to report to the establishment division.

As a result of the explosion, which occurred during the afternoon Zuhr prayers, at least 100 individuals have lost their lives and 169 others have been injured. Due to the powerful impact of the suicide bombing, the roof of the mosque caved in despite ongoing rescue efforts.

This attack has been claimed by the banned extremist group Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Videos and images of the aftermath have been shared on social media sites, showing the injured being rushed to local hospitals drenched in blood.

It is clear that the federal government will not tolerate acts of terror such as these, in response to this tragedy. Imdadullah Bosal’s appointment as the new Chief Secretary is a symbol of hope and determination in the midst of tragedy.
