PCB Announces Pakistan Head Coach For Afghanistan T20I Series

Pakistan’s T20I coach in Sharjah is Abdul Rehman. Umar Gul and Mohammad Yousuf will coach the team’s bowling and batting, respectively.

For the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan in Sharjah, Abdul Rehman will serve as Pakistan’s head coach.

Umar Gul will act as the bowling coach, while Mohammad Yousuf will be the batting coach of the team.

Rehman serves as Multan Sultans’ assistant coach in the current eighth season of the Pakistan Super League and as the head coach of the KPK team in domestic cricket.

Najam Sethi, the chairman of the PCB Management Committee, tweeted the information on Tuesday.

For the series, Babar, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi of Pakistan have all been rested.

Ihsanullah, Saim Ayub, Tayyab Tahir, and Zaman Khan were among the four uncapped players called up by Pakistan cricket selectors. Abdullah Shafique, Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf, and Imad Wasim were all recalled following a streak of strong performances.

The forthcoming series will be captained by all-rounder Shadab Khan, who previously led Pakistan in a three-T20I series against New Zealand in 2020.

To play Afghanistan in three Twenty20 Internationals in Sharjah on March 24, 26, and 27, Pakistan will fly to the United Arab Emirates on March 22. The two sides are currently meeting for the first time in a bilateral series. Four One-Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals between Pakistan and Afghanistan have been played, with Pakistan winning each match.
