Recently, ICC has announced the names of the players who did sensational and exceptional for their teams for the year 2022. The best was declared, and Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam bagged several awards. Although, this is a strong reply for those continuously raising their voice over his playing style and captaincy.
He bagged 3 best player awards and 2 admirations in the recent few days. He was announced as the men’s best ODI player of the year 2022. He was also declared the best men’s player last year. Some days ago, he was also declared the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy winner.
The other 2 achievements he has been that he was declared the ODI captain of the ODI team for the year 2022. He is also a part of the ICC test squad player.
ICC has written in the press release about his stats,
“In 2022, Babar amassed 1,184 Test runs at a tick under 70, 679 at 85 in ODI cricket, and led his side to the T20 World Cup semi-final in Australia, making 735 runs at a strike rate of 123 across the year in T20I play.”
