A completely outstanding performance from the Pakistan side helped to an easy win against New Zealand. On the last day, the first match of the 3 ODI series was played between Pakistan and New Zealand on the surface of the National Stadium, Karachi.

Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. According to the pitch report, the pitch gave tough competition on 300 runs. However, Pakistan has managed to keep the New Zealand team below their dream score.

The Kiwi team was only able to 255 with a loss of 9 in 50 overs. Pakistan completely dominated the Kiwi with their pace attack. There were no 50 runs from any Kiwi batter. Michael Bracewell was the top scorer with 43 runs at 42 ballas. Tom Latham and Glenn Phillips were also the part with 42 and 37, respectively. Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah get 5. Bracewell, with 2 wickets against 44 runs, was the key contributor from the Kiwi side. Glenn Phillps and Tim Southee were only able to dismiss 1 player.

The man of the match award goes in the hand of Naseem Shah for 5 wickets.
