Pakistan Women Team Lost First Match Against Australia

Australia registered the 1st win; Pakistan women’s cricket team lost its first match against Australia by 8 wickets.

Yesterday, Australia won the first match of the ODI series with 8 wickets. The match was played at Allan Border Field, Brisbane. The weather was not fine. Rain delayed the match and then limited it to 40 over game.

The Pakistani team batted first. The team could only set a target of 160 with 8 wicket loss. Nida Dar and Bismah Maroof were the top scorers. Both run 59 and 28 runs, respectively. While Australian team chased the score within 28.5 overs, with 8 wickets in hand. Phoebe Litchfield scored a fantastic 78 on 92 deliveries. Meg Lanning contributed with her valuable 67 runs.

Pakistan’s fall of wicket: 1-3 (Muneeba Ali, 1.3 ov), 2-19 (Sidra Ameen, 5.2 ov), 3-38 (Omaima Sohail, 8.3 ov), 4-84 (Bismah Maroof, 17.3 ov), 5-107 (Aliya Riaz, 26.1 ov), 6-113 (Kainat Imtiaz, 30.3 ov), 7-130 (Fatima Sana, 35.2 ov), 8-157 (Nida Dar, 39.4 ov). Darcie Brown and Jess Jonassen picked 2 wickets each. While Tahlia McGrath, Ashleigh Gardner, and Alana King successfully registered 1 wicket.

Australian fall of wicket: 1-2 (Beth Mooney, 0.5 ov), 2-139 (Meg Lanning, 27.2 ov). Each Diana Baig and Omaima Sohail sent back 1 batter each to the pavilion. Phoebe Litchfield was the woman of the match.
