Pakistan Squad Arrives In UAE For T20 Series Against Afghanistan

Pakistan is in the UAE for a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan.

The Pakistan cricket squad has landed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take on Afghanistan in a three-match T20I series.

Photos posted on Twitter by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) show the national team being greeted at a hotel upon arrival.

Ahead of time, the PCB and Afghanistan Cricket Board decided to slightly alter the schedule for Afghanistan’s three-match T20I home series against Pakistan. The first game of the series will now begin on March 24, and the last two games will be played in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, on March 26 and 27.

In a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, newly installed Pakistani captain Shadab Khan promised to play aggressive and forward-thinking cricket.

Shadab tweeted his thoughts on being named the T20 squad’s captain, writing, “A dream for every Pakistani to lead the national cricket team. Allah deserves all the praise.

Shadab replied, “Very eager to lead this young squad, tonnes of talent,” when asked how he felt about taking the helm of the national team for the first time. He emphasised the need of supporting the immigrants as well, adding, “Supporting the youth is crucial as they are our future.”
