Kamran Akmal Appointed As Head Of Selection Committee For Age Group Trials

Kamran Akmal is appointed as the head of the selection committee for selecting regional and district teams

Farmer Pakistani wicketkeeper and batter is appointed as a chairman of 8 member selection committee. The selection committee will conduct U13, U16, and U19 trails at district and regional levels. The other members of this panel are Sohail Tanvir, Amir Nazir, Taimoor Khan, Junaid Khan, Faisal Akhtar, Qaisar Abbas, and Sanaullah Baloch.

Kamran Akmal represented the Pakistan till 2017. He played 53 tests, 157 ODIs, and 58 T20 matches. Sohail Tanvir represented the team till 2017. He played 2 tests, 62 ODIs, and 57 T20s. Amir Nazir represented Pakistan in 6 tests and 9 ODIs. Junaid Khan played 107 international matches. Faisal Akhtar was part of the national team only time in 2003. Qaiser Baloch played a test match. Sanaullah Baloch and Taimoor Khan are former first-class players.

It is hoped that the selection committee will help to bring new talent to Pakistan Cricket that will carry the legacy of Pakistan’s cricket.
