In an operation in North Waziristan, Pakistani authorities kill a terrorist: ISPR

In the North Waziristan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, security forces killed a terrorist on Saturday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations claimed in a statement that armed forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the approximate vicinity of Mir Ali, North Waziristan District.

It stated that a militant of the outlawed organisation was shot dead during a frenzied exchange of fire, and that guns and ammo were also found on him.

The ISPR said that the deceased militant was still actively engaged in terrorist attacks against security personnel and the murder of unarmed civilians.

After three individuals, including a member of the security forces, were murdered and numerous others were hurt in a suicide attack in the northwest of the country earlier in the day, security authorities dismantled a network of terrorists and their facilitators.

A rise in terrorist assaults from the Afghan side of the border has been observed in KP and Balochistan as a result of terrorists seeking refuge in the country next door.
