Hyderabads Peoples Bus Service Will Debut Today

Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Sindh Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, announced on Friday that the Peoples Bus Service (PBS) would start operating in Hyderabad on November 19.

The first PBS route in Hyderabad, according to Sharjeel, will traverse 15 kilometres from Hyder Chowk in the centre of the city to the Hatri Police Station. Additionally, he indicated that there will be 15 bus stops put up along the road.

The buses will run from Hyder Chowk to Gul Center, Thandi Sadak, Agriculture Complex, Wahdat Colony, Sindh Museum, Qasim Chowk, Jail Road, and Isra Hospital in addition to making a stop at Hattri Police Station.

The PPP leader unveiled a new, eco-friendly electric bus service for Karachi residents earlier this month.

These buses have a 20-minute charging time and can go 240 kilometres.

He explained that the buses will be powered by solar energy, and the project’s management organisation would also put up charging stations.

The project will also be expanded to other significant cities in Sindh, the minister added, adding that the cost of electric buses will be less than that of Red Buses.
