Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), met with Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, to discuss cooperation among other things.
At the “winter camp” at AlUla, an oasis city in northwest Saudi Arabia, the de facto ruler of the Kingdom and Pakistan’s senior general interacted.
Both parties, who are recognised for being strong friends in the military and economy, also discussed ways to improve bilateral ties in a variety of industries.
Prince Khalid bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense, National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Muhammad al Aiban, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Kingdom, and the Saudi military attaché were all present at the reception.
As the senior military officer of Pakistan, the Army Chief is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This is his first abroad journey.
With the Saudi defence minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, COAS had earlier discussed military cooperation in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
