Rafael Mariano Grossi, the director general of the IAEA, arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday for a two-day visit

The IAEA Director General visited Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Islamabad shortly after landing in the South Asian country, where the two spoke about issues of mutual concern.

FM Bilawal emphasised the utilisation of atomic energy throughout the meeting in the sectors of power, industry, agriculture, and health.

The dignitary who was in town praised Pakistan’s nuclear capability. According to the Foreign Office, he has appointments at several nuclear technology-related organisations.

Grossi’s visit will aid Pakistan and the international “Atoms for Peace and Development” organisation in examining options and fostering cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear technology uses.
