The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) officials and its field formations are exempt from being appointed as district returning officers, returning officers, or assistant returning officers for the conduct of the 2019 general elections, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
On Wednesday, the FBR sent a letter to every head of the field formations in this area.
The ECP has reportedly given the officers of FBR (including its field formations) an exemption to the extent of their appointment as District Returning Officers, Returning Officers, and Assistant Returning Officers for the conduct of upcoming General Elections, according to the FBR's letter.
