Dar Reminds the IT Sector of Its Commitment to Boosting Exports

The finance minister, pledged full support on Thursday in helping the IT industry address its worries

Ishaq Dar, the finance minister, pledged full support on Thursday in helping the IT industry address its worries and cited the industry’s agreements with the prime minister to quickly increase IT exports as evidence.

The finance minister and the minister for information technology and telecommunication, Syed Amin Ul Haque, co-chaired the steering committee meeting that was conducted at the finance division.

At the meeting, the prime minister’s directives to enhance IT exports were reviewed along with the status of those directives. Representatives of the IT sector spoke with the finance minister about the difficulties they encounter in operating efficiently and affordably and offered suggestions for quick fixes.

The finance minister’s efforts and assistance were welcomed by the IT minister, who also pledged the full support of his ministry and expressed confidence in the IT sector’s ability to increase exports.

Ltd. Bilal Mahmood, senior officers from the FBR and Finance Division, and top IT exporters were present at the meeting.
