Changan Cars Have Increased In Price By Up To Rs.10.5 Lakh

Changan announced a steep price increase on its vehicles, which has caused a major setback for the Pakistani automotive industry.

There has been a major setback for the automotive industry in Pakistan after Changan announced a steep price increase on its vehicles. The devaluation of the Pakistani rupee relative to the US dollar has resulted in severe economic challenges for the auto industry, and the failure of the current government to address the situation has only made matters worse.

A 10.5 lac price increase has been announced by Changan Pakistan, the latest auto assembler to increase its prices. The ex-factory and ex-dealership prices for Changan cars will remain the same.

Changan Alsvin Prices

The base model of the Changan Alsvin, the 1.3L M/T Comfort variant, will now be available at Rs 3,899,000, a sharp jump of Rs. 505,000 from its previous price of Rs 3,394,000. Similarly, the 1.5L DCT Comfort variant has seen an increase of Rs. 550,000, taking its price to Rs. 4,199,000 from its previous rate of Rs. 3,649,000. The top-of-the-line Alsvin 1.5L DCT AT Lumiere variant has also been hit by the price hike, with an increase of Rs. 655,000, making it available for Rs. 4,499,000, compared to its previous rate of Rs. 3,844,000.

Changan Oshan Prices

The Changan Oshan X7 Comfort variant will now cost Rs. 7,999,000, a jump of Rs. 950,000 from its previous price of Rs. 7,049,000. The Oshan X7 FutureSense variant has also seen a rise of Rs. 1,050,000, taking its price to Rs. 8,599,000 from its previous rate of Rs. 7,549,000.

Changan Karvaan Prices

Changan’s versatile Multi-Purpose Vehicle, the Karvaan, has undergone a significant price increase of Rs. 330,000. The new pricing structure sees the Karvaan Standard now retailing at Rs. 2,749,000, a hike of Rs. 330,000 from its previous cost of Rs. 2,419,000. Meanwhile, the Karvaan Plus model will now be available at Rs. 2,899,000, also experiencing a rise of Rs. 330,000 from its previous price of Rs. 2,569,000.

Changan M9 Price

The Changan Sherpa (M9) pick-up has also observed a price hike of Rs. 315,000, making it available for Rs. 2,449,000, compared to its previous rate of Rs.2,134,000.

The recent price increase by Changan will undoubtedly impact the purchasing power of Pakistani consumers, making it even more difficult for them to afford a car. It remains to be seen how this will affect the demand for Changan cars in the Pakistani market.

As a result of the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee and the government’s failure to address the economic situation, the automobile industry has been severely impacted. Changan’s recent price hike will only add to the difficulties faced by the Pakistani consumer, making it harder for them to purchase a car.
