Yamaha, a Pakistani bike manufacturer, recently raised their rates, which came as a surprise to the nation’s citizens who are already dealing with record inflation.

Beginning on January 4, 2023, the new prices will be in effect. According to the updated rates, the cost of the YBR-125, the automaker’s best-selling model, has increased by Rs7,500 to Rs322,500.

The price of the YB-125Z has increased by 7,500 and is now Rs 293,500, while the cost of the YB-125Z DX has climbed by 7,500.

The price of YBR-125G (Red) has increased from Rs. 328,000 to Rs. 336,000.

The least expensive model of one of the most popular bikes would now cost almost Rs300,000 after registration under the new tariffs.
The sale of two-wheelers, however, saw a significant decline of 34% in the first five months of the current fiscal year. According to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), 523,354 motorcycles and three-wheelers were sold from July to November (2022-23) as opposed to 795,943 units during the same period in the previous year (2021-22).
